I understand how frustrating it is when your HP ENVY Inspire 7200e series printer suddenly stops printing, especially after updating to Windows 11

Step 1: Uninstall and Reinstall Printer Software

HP recommends fully uninstalling the printer software and drivers, then reinstalling them to restore functionality.

  1. Go to Settings > Apps > Installed Apps.
  2. Find HP Smart or any HP printer software → click Uninstall.
  3. Restart your computer.
  4. Download the latest drivers and HP Smart app from: 👉 HP ENVY Inspire 7200e series | HP® Support


Step 2: Check for Windows Update Conflicts

Some Windows updates have caused printing issues. HP recommends checking for known update conflicts and applying any available patches.


Step 3: Use HP Printer Diagnostics Tool

HP offers a built-in tool to detect and fix printing issues:

  • Go to the support page above and click Printer Diagnostics.
  • Follow the guided steps to test and repair your printer connection.
