HP Smart Tank 7602r All-in-One Printer
Microsoft Windows 11

Setting up my new HP 7602r printer. When finished all indicators and messages say the setup is complete and the printer is read to use, the display says setup is not complete and cancels the print. I've tried setting up 3 times, no change. Performed a cold reset, no change. I'm about ready to give up, send the printer back, and use my old printer. This should never be this hard. It's a printer after all.

Hi @TSCOTT4 ,

This could be related to some issue with the Wifi network connection, and you may need to follow steps from the next video:

During the multiple times I've tried setting this up, each time it connected to my network. No mention of an error code. Support told me they would call me today because my account is pending. I've had the account for three years. Pending for what reason? They've already sent me paper and the printer.  I was likely talking to front line support with the goal of getting rid of me. I bought this All In One plan in good faith and I get a bricked printer and zero support. Is that what HP has become? I tried setting up again today but now I can't get past the Setup is Not Complete, blah blah blah. Nobody has an answer and really, do they care if I get this thing working? All I want is working printer. I'm willing to pay their subscription fees, yet nobody shows the least amount of interest in satisfying their long term loyal customer. They have no regard for the bind they put me in and expect me to just let it be. If you can help I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you.

  • Sorry for having issues in your new printer configuration, but I am just trying to help. 😇

1. Quick question to understand where in the setup process is showing that "Setup is not Complete" error message.

  • did you see the message about "Printing the alignment page" ? 🤔
