I need advanced technical support. I have spent HOURS on the phone with basic tech support to no avail, they only walk me thru a bandaid solution that allows me to do what I want to do while on the phone with them but doesn’t solve the problem. My printer is a year old and this is MADNESS. I’m ready to go buy a new printer.
I can’t get the printer to scan, printer is randomly unable to be seen as AirPrint and I can’t bypass the locked admin features in order to try and fix it myself.
MADNESS
When I first set up printer a year ago, I remember I had to have Advanced Tech Support send me a specific printer driver to enable some features. Somehow I have deleted that driver and now cannot get it back. Advanced Tech Support is somehow not available now? **bleep**? This is a HORRIBLE experience.

@DIYTrblshtr, Welcome to the HP Support Community! I’m here to help.
I understand you are not able to make changes to the settings on the printer. We need to perform a factory reset on the printer to resolve this issue.
- The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may corrupt the device.
- I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.
- In order to access your private messages, click the private message icon on the upper right corner of your HP community profile, next to your profile Name or simply click on this link: https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/notes/privatenotespage
Hope this helps! Let me know how it goes.
Please click “Accept as Solution” if you feel my post solved your issue, it will help others find the solution.
Click on the YES button to reply that the response was helpful and/or to say “Thank You”.
Have a great day!
