Set up wizard indicates “incorrect password” but password is correct. Any suggestions?

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you.

  • Do you see this error on the printer screen?
  • Are you trying to connect the printer to your wireless network?
  • Have you tried connecting any other device to the network using the same password?
  • The password is case sensitive.
  • If you do not remember the password, kindly refer to this document to know how to retrieve it.

If the issue persists, proceed to the next step.

 

Restart the wireless router, the printer, and the MAC

Go to Setup > Network > Restore network settings

Go back to Network > Wireless > Wireless setup wizard and select your network.
