HP Recommended

This is a brand new refurbished OfficeJet Pro 8135e printer, purchased directly from HP.

I originally set it up using the procedure outlined in the instructions.   I was able to get a single document printed from an application.  Then there was a firmware update, and I have not been able to get anything to print from an application since that time.

I can print from Notepad, and I can print a test page.

I have followed HP's instructions for printing problems following a firmware update, but it still does not work.  I have used both ChatGPT and Google's AI to try to change settings, change drivers, reinstall, etc.   It appears that one of the problems is the WSD port, which both of the AI bots say is very buggy.   It was recommended to switch to a TCP/IP port, which I was able to do at one point.  I have also tried Microsoft IPP Driver.  I have tried to use HP's Support Assistant with no results.  I tried to open a case, and got an error message.

I will be returning this printer unless I can get this resolved.  Both ChatGPT and Google's AI seem to indicate this is a mismatch between the supplied drivers and the printer itself.
