HP OfficeJet 3830
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

In preparing an OCR scan, ABBYY asks me to select a scanner and the only choice is "HP OfficeJet 3830 series TWAIN (TWAIN)" but when I select it, the pop-up msg says "Source initialization failed" and "The HP OfficeJet 3830 series was not found." I have not found other possible drivers to install.

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, As we have limited support boundaries in the support community as of now.

I would request you to contact our Support and our Support Engineers should be able to sort this out. HP Support can be reached by clicking on the following link:  www.hp.com/contacthp/

And, also update printer firmware: https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c02919168

Thank you, I now have confirmed that my printer driver and software are up to date. So that is not why Device Manager, HP Smart, ABBY FineReader, etc., say they cannot find the printer. I do not know what else to try. Help?
