Hi @Mark_Murphy,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I understand you're inquiring about the availability of an ARM driver for the HP ENVY 7640 All-in-One Printer. Currently, HP does not provide a dedicated ARM64 driver for this model. The official support page for the ENVY 7640 offers drivers compatible with Windows operating systems, but ARM64 support is not explicitly mentioned.

Users have reported challenges when attempting to use the ENVY 7640 with ARM-based Windows systems, particularly with Windows 11 on ARM devices. In some cases, the printer may not function correctly due to driver compatibility issues.

Possible Workarounds:

Use Windows Compatibility Mode:

Right-click on the driver installation file.

Select Properties, then go to the Compatibility tab.

Check Run this program in compatibility mode for: and choose a previous version of Windows (e.g., Windows 10).

Apply the changes and attempt the installation again.

Install via Windows Update:

Connect the printer to your ARM-based Windows device.

Go to Settings > Devices > Printers & scanners.

Click on Add a printer or scanner.

If the printer is detected, Windows may automatically install the necessary drivers.

Use Generic Printer Drivers:

In some cases, selecting a generic printer driver from the list of available drivers in the printer setup can allow basic printing functionality.

This may not support advanced features like scanning or faxing.

Note: These workarounds may not provide full functionality, and performance can vary based on the specific ARM device and Windows version. For optimal performance, using a printer with official ARM64 driver support is recommended.

I hope this helps.
