I understand your ASUS Vivobook S15 isn’t printing correctly with the HP Envy 6520e, and the printer also can’t access the internet for Instant Ink. Let’s go through a few steps to check what could be causing this.
Install the full HP driver package
– Download the “Full Feature Software and Driver” for the Envy 6520e from HP’s official support page.
– Run the installer and complete the setup for printing, scanning, and network features.
Use the HP Smart (or HP App) for setup
– Open HP Smart and add the printer again after installing the drivers.
– This ensures the printer is properly registered on your network and Windows recognizes it.
Confirm both devices are on the same Wi-Fi network
– Make sure the laptop and printer are connected to the same 2.4 GHz network.
– Avoid using Guest Wi-Fi or separate mesh bands, as these can block communication.
Restart the router and reconnect the printer
– Power-cycle the router for 30 seconds and allow it to fully restart.
– On the printer, run Wireless Setup Wizard to reconnect to Wi-Fi with a fresh session.
Check for network isolation or VPN interference
– Disable any VPN or firewall temporarily to see if the printer becomes discoverable.
– Ensure “AP Isolation” or “Client Isolation” is turned off in the router settings.
Re-run the driver installer with USB connected (optional)
– Connect the printer via USB during installation; the installer will configure wireless settings automatically.
– After setup, USB can be removed once wireless printing works.
Refresh Web Services for Instant Ink
– On the printer, turn off Web Services, wait a few seconds, then turn it back on.
– This forces the printer to reconnect to HP’s servers for Instant Ink functionality.
I hope this helps.
