Hi, I could not add my printer to HP Smart App (HP Account). It keeps saying my printer is connected to another account. But I haven only 1 account. Please help!
I suspect this could be because I was an HP Employee previously. I create and associate this printer with my HP employee account. I've left HP for almost 8 years now. I need the printer to be disassociate from my previous HP email so that I can add my personal email to this printer.

Hi @gauthem,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.
Thank you for reaching out to us. I understand how frustrating it must be to receive a message saying your printer is connected to another account, especially when you only have one account. I also appreciate your sharing the background regarding your previous HP employee account, as this could indeed be the reason for the issue.
To resolve this, we recommend performing a Factory Reset on your HP DeskJet Plus Ink Advantage 6475 All-in-One Printer. This will disassociate the printer from any previous HP accounts and allow you to set it up with your personal HP account on the HP Smart App.
Restore the printer to the original factory defaults:
1. Lift the cartridge access door to expose the cartridge area.
2. While the cartridge access door is open, press and hold (the Power button) and Wireless button on the back of the printer for three seconds.
3. Please uninstall the HP Smart app --> restart the Device, Wi-Fi router and printer, --> reinstall it and add the printer.
After Reset:
1. Open the HP Smart App and try to add the printer again using your personal HP account.
2. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the setup.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
