How to reset the Admin Password  for HP Ink Tank Wireless 419

Welcome to the HP Support Community

 

I understand you are facing an issue with your HP Printer. Not to worry I will help you to get a resolution to resolve the issue.

 

We have to perform a Semi Full Reset to unlock the features of the printer/Reset the password. 

 

The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may brick the device. 

 

I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer. 

 

In order to access your private messages, click the private message icon on the upper right corner of your HP Community profile, next to your profile Name or simply click on this link.

Hello. I have the same problem. I can't set up the printer without an administrator password that I forgot. How to reset the printer to factory settings?

I want to clarify that the combinations Wi-Fi direct+Cancel is not working (it reset wifi, but in EWS steel need pasword(admin and empty password not work)

Hi Anand,

 

can you help me with the solution of the same issue. I own hp 419 ink tank printer and after changing the network password, I was trying to add the printer to new network however while connecting using laptop and USB to wifi network. It stuck at one place stating "A custom password has been setup for your printer, enter password to access printer web interface."
