HP Deskjet 7610
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I recently decorated my office, I had to empty it of course. Putting everything back and it came to connecting my HP7610 and windows 10 found it on the wireless network but could not install it, so I connected it to my home network, windows 10 could see it but could not install the driver. I resorted to connecting my HP7610 to my computer via usb. Windows 10 found it and I can print BUT, nearly all my touch screen options require a admin password they all show a "lock" symbol.

What has gone wrong?

I am unable to connect thru a web browser or turn on any option on the touch screen.

I have trawled through reams of online pages where the solution is a hard reset or a soft reset etc... nothing as worked

Please can you help.

Thank you

@p5ych0515, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

I understand you are not able to make changes to the settings on the printer. We need to perform a factory reset on the printer to resolve this issue.

  • The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may corrupt the device.
  • I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.
  • In order to access your private messages, click the private message icon on the upper right corner of your HP community profile, next to your profile Name or simply click on this link: https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/notes/privatenotespage

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
