Hi,
I need the printer admin password reset procedure. Can someone send me the instructions please!
Note: Entering PIN # does not work, nor are the many known default passwords like admin or blank, etc.

This is now resolved. To reset this printer, you need to
- Unplug the cord (or turn off the power source).
- Hold down BOTH Cancel & Resume buttons (1 & 2).
- Plug in the cord while still holding down those 2 buttons.
- Wait about 25 seconds and the custom password should no longer be there. Instead, you will see this prompt where you get to enter the PIN #.
I do not understand why this is so secretive. I was on the phone with HP support for over 2 hours and they have no clue on how to solve this issue. In the end, the agent told me that once the password has been set, and if I don't remember the password, then I'm pretty much screwed. Plus, the agent said at least I can still print without having to access the advanced features. Totally unacceptable answer, and to think that HP wanted to charge me for this support call...yeah, right!
