HP LaserJet Pro MFP M125a

Hello!
I forgot my administrator password and tried to find a solution on the Internet.
In fact, I can't even find it in the documentation: http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c03628466
Here is the control panel of my printer:

Control panel overview for M125aControl panel overview for M125a

And this is the recommendation how to restore default factory setting:

Restore the factory-set defaultsRestore the factory-set defaults

Unfortunately, that's it, no more options.

I found several threads where it is advised to do an NVRAM reset. But I don't know how safe it is.

And how to perform this NVRAM reset. Is there any solution?

Hi @Searge,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd like to help!

Since you have already performed all the possible steps,

We can try an NVRAM reset to restore the printer back to its original settings.

The reset instructions are specific to your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may brick the device.

I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.

Hello, @Elohi_NR,

Unfortunately, M125a doesn't have a touch screen panel.

I deliberately copied the panel diagram from the official documentation to illustrate why I can't reset the administrator password through the panel. Because there are no instructions on how to do it.

Do you have instructions for the model without a touch panel?
I can't do it through the touch panel, because to be honest, I don't have it.

Hi @Searge,

Thank you for performing the recommended steps, I see that it has not helped.

This might require one on one interaction to fix the issue
