I cannot use the "Print & Scan Doctor" program despite having administrator rights. Other programs that require admin rights work. What am I doing wrong?

Hi Firebird. I have the same problem and I've had no reply to a similar post i made.

 

I have however found a way round the problem, which was stopping me from setting up my printer with a new Wifi system.

 

I created a new User account in Windows 10 and gve it administrator rights. Then I loaded up all the HP Programs (esoecially HP Smart and HP Support Assistant) into that account.  Next I went through the install new printer procedure and everything worked fine, including the Print Doctor. And the printer works fine with all user accounts.

 

So the problem seems to be some incompatibility inside my main user account.

Hi Peter,
the printer works perfectly. Only the SW Print & Scan Doctor wants admin rights. Just stupid that my users are all set as administrators.
