I did not set the "Administrator" password during setup of my Color LaserJet Enterprise MFP 480. This printer is setup a network printer on our printer server. About a month ago, I installed the lastest firmware update (Firmware Datecode 20220213). Now i cann't Log-In to the "Administrator" on the printer. Can i retreive password or can i reset the passowrd to gain access to the printer configuration. I need to make some configuration changes. Help!!

If you have a wireless model the default user name would be admin and the password will be the same as the default wifi direct password printed on a sticker on the back of the device.

Connection does not matter, the default password for EWS that HP uses is the same as the default wifi password.

Have not had any of this model come through my shop but looking at the specs it is based on FutureSmart firmware so performing a partial clean through the pre-boot menu will clear any Admin passwords or a Cold reset, which is also accessed through the preboot menu.
The readme file for the firmware contains instructions for accessing the Pre-boot menu. http://ftp.ext.hp.com//pub/softlib/software13/printers/CLJM480/readme_cljM480_fs5.pdf
