OfficeJet Pro 8023

After installing the latest firmware/software update on my HP Office Jet Pro 8023, the printer now incorrectly shows a ‘Use SETUP cartridges’ error. It was fully set up and working before. This started only after your update. I need this resolved immediately

If you're encountering a 'Use SETUP cartridges' error on your HP OfficeJet Pro 8023 after a firmware/software update, here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:

Restart the Printer:

  • Turn off your printer and unplug it from the power source.
  • Wait for about 60 seconds before plugging it back in and turning it on.

Check Cartridge Installation:

  • Open the printer’s access door.
  • Remove the cartridges and then reinsert them securely.
  • Ensure they are the set of cartridges that came with the printer.

Reset the Printer:

  • Follow the steps to reset your printer to factory settings via the printer settings menu.

Use Correct Cartridges:

  • Make sure you are using the original HP setup cartridges provided with the printer. If they were previously replaced, this error might occur.
