HP ENVY 5055 All-in-One Printer
Microsoft Windows 11

I recently switched from Comcast to CenturyLink and also upgraded to Windows 11 and now I can't print.  I've run diagnostics and it says to contact system administrator.  I turned printer off and restarted.   I do see that the printer is listed as HP02B072.hsdl.co.comcast.net so I'm thinking since I switched from Comcast that this is the problem.  However, I do not know to to correct.  I uninstalled the printer and have tried to reinstall.  It just shows me the printer and now says it is not installed.

Known Issues and Fixes with Windows 11:

Original Message Content

Welcome to the HP User Community.

Printer software, like other software installed in the computer, rarely - if ever - survives an in-place Upgrade (change) of the Windows version.

Changing the router also presents challenges that the printer software cannot fix on its own.

Suggestion:  Read through what is suggested - then proceed.

The  main points:

  • Reset the printer to its network defaults
  • Update the printer firmware
  • Uninstall the printer software and check for left-over bits
  • Install a fresh copy of the full driver printer software

Details / How-to / Examples

If you have not done so,

Consider resetting the Printer Network Defaults

See  User Guide - Page 75

If you have not done so,

Consider updating the Printer Firmware - at this writing, new Firmware was released February 15, 2022

Dragon-Fur, thanks for the suggestions.  I actually got the printer to print but I don't know how and it probably isn't done correctly.  I will definitely try your suggestions.  They seem detailed which will help me a lot.  Thanks
