Alignment fixes fail.

Printer fails to align cartridges.  Quality print sheet shows errors, and document printing fails to print lower half of lines.  Performed all suggested fixes while using new genuine HP cartridges.
History of very light home use.  Has the printer, after 5 years, reached its end of life?
