I have run into this before.

 

My printer was on Wifi but I changed routers (Verizon took the other away).  i redirected  all my Echos, tablets, phones, no problem.

 

My All-In-One 9025 is another matter.  It appears that a firmware update put a password on it.   I can't even do a "Cold Reset" at the printer through the menu.

 

I know I didn't put a password on it, I learned my lesson about doing that.  To resolve, I contacted HP support and they told me a esoteric button push sequence to reset the printer....Which I did not write down because I figured I would never need it again because I was never going to put a password on it again.

 

Does anyone know what the "at the printer" button sequence is?

Welcome to the HP Support Community

 

I understand you are getting an error message on your HP Printer. Not to worry I will help you to get a resolution to resolve the issue.

 

We need to perform a semi-full reset to restore the printer back to its original settings.

 

The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may brick the device. 

 

I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instructions to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer. 

 

In order to access your private messages, click the private message icon on the upper right corner of your HP Community profile, next to your profile Name or simply click on this link.
