All in one printer only functions as a fax - OfficeJet 6600

Hello everyone, I am trying to reinstall my HP Officejet 6600 All-in-one printer, but the only function I get is the Fax. It does not print, or scan. I am using Windoes 8.1.  Can you help me with this problem?

Welcome to the HP support community.

This seems to be a driver issue, follow these steps to fix the issue.

Set the printer as the default

1. Type printer on the Start screen. ...
2. In the search results, click Printers & scanners.
3. In the Printers & scanners window, click the printer you want to set as the default printer and click the Manage button.
4. Under Manage your device, click the Set as default button.

If that does not help, perform root level uninstallation to remove all the printer related software's.

• In Windows, search for and open Programs and Features.
• Select your HP printer.
• Select Uninstall.
• In Windows, search for and open Devices and Printers.
• In the Devices and Printers window look for your HP Printer. If you see it listed, right-click on it and choose "Delete" or "Remove Device.”
• Open up the run command with the "Windows Key + R" key combo.
• Type printui.exe /s and click OK.
• Click on Drivers tab.
• Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it click on it and click Remove at the bottom.
• Select OK.
• Remove all instances of the same.
• Select Apply and OK on the Print Server Properties windows.
• Close Devices and Printers. 
• Restart the PC again.
