Hi  @densu2276

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

I understand that you have two printers that you use seasonally and would like assistance with deactivating your summer printer while using the other one.

Could you kindly confirm:

  • Are both printers enrolled in HP+ or Instant Ink?
  • Are both printers connected to the same HP account?
  • When you say "deactivate," are you looking to:
    • Remove the printer from HP App?
    • Remove it from your HP account?
    • Stop using Instant Ink on that printer temporarily?

In the meantime, you can try the below steps and confirm :

  1. Open the HP App.
  2. Select the printer that you are currently not using.
  3. Check if there is an option to remove or hide the printer from the application.
  4. On your Windows or Mac device, open Printer Settings and set your currently active printer as the Default Printer.
  5. If both printers are connected to the same network, ensure you select the correct printer during printing.

You may also find this HP document helpful for managing printers in the HP App: Click here

Additionally, if Instant Ink is involved, this HP document may help explain how printer enrollment and account management work: Click here

Whether the best solution is removing the printer from the HP App, changing the default printer, or managing an Instant Ink enrollment depends on how the printers are configured.

I hope this helps.
