Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have a new DJ2600 with wifi connection. HP smart says it is ready but when I press Print to print a document absolutely nothing happens (except the message "printing"!!!) I have uninstalled and reinstalled the relevant software, drivers, etc several times, phoned HP and had one of its technicians take control for at least half an hour, but he could get nowhere. The technician noted that the LAN frequency was 5GHz and said that the printer worked best with a 2.4GHz frequency - but what can one do about that?  At the moment I can only conclude the  printer software is completely incompatible with the latest version of Windows 10 HELP.................

Hi @Grumpy9,

I'd like to help!

The printer is compatible only with a 2.4Ghz network.

You try connecting via alternate methods,

  • USB
  • Wi-Fi direct

Refer the document to connect the printer via USB -USB Printer Setup (Windows)

Here is document to  setup via Wi-Fi direct - Printing with Wi-Fi Direct

Wi-Fi direct is a method that connects your printer directly to your phone or computer using default or an assigned password, the drawback of this type of connection is that you will not be able to access the internet and print at the same time.

Or you may contact your network providers and get the network split between 2.4 and 5Ghz and connect the printer and computer to 2.4GHz

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
