Apple says its iOS will no longer support my printer HPOfficeJet Pro 9120Series .  I presently am running on Tahoe 26.5.2.

My current printer is an HP OfficeJet Pro 9120 Series.  For some reason HP seems to think I am still using my old HP ENVY Inspire 7955e printer.

We understand the concern, especially if Apple is showing a message that your HP Officejet Pro 9120 Series is no longer supported. The important point is that an iOS compatibility message does not necessarily mean the printer itself has become unusable.
 

The Officejet Pro 9120 Series continues to have an HP support and setup page, and HP provides the HP app for setting up and using the printer. (HP Support) AirPrint is built into supported printers and allows printing from iPhone and iPad without installing printer drivers. 
 

First, check which printer is actually being detected

Since you mentioned that HP still thinks you are using your old ENVY Inspire 7955e, I would first remove or hide that old printer from the HP app rather than changing anything on the Officejet Pro 9120.
 

• Open the HP app on your iPhone.
• Look at the printers currently listed.
• If the ENVY Inspire 7955e is shown, select it and use the available Remove/Hide Printer option.
• Make sure your iPhone is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as the Officejet Pro 9120.

Set up the Officejet Pro 9120 again

HP's current setup guidance for the Officejet Pro 9120 recommends using the HP app to connect the printer to the network and complete setup. (HP Support)
 

• Open the HP app.
• Select Add Printer or Set Up a New Printer.
• Follow the prompts to select the Officejet Pro 9120 Series.
• Enter your current Wi-Fi password when prompted.
• Complete the setup on the printer if the control panel asks you to confirm the connection.
• If the printer is already connected to your new/current Wi-Fi network, you may not need to reset it. The goal is to make sure the 9120 is the printer associated with the HP app, rather than the old ENVY.

You can also test Apple AirPrint

If your Officejet Pro 9120 is connected to Wi-Fi, try printing directly through Apple's AirPrint:
 

• Make sure the iPhone and printer are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
• Open a photo, document, email, or webpage that you want to print.
• Tap Share and select Print.
• Tap Printer and look for the HP OfficeJet Pro 9120.
• Select it and print.
• AirPrint does not require you to install a separate printer driver on the iPhone.

If Apple is specifically saying the Officejet Pro 9120 is unsupported

Please post the exact wording of Apple's message (or a screenshot with any personal information removed). That distinction is important because "iOS no longer supports this printer" could refer to an app, AirPrint, or a particular compatibility requirement rather than the printer hardware itself.

Also, if you can provide the exact model shown on the printer's control panel or its full product number, I can help determine whether the message is referring to the Officejet Pro 9120 itself or the old ENVY Inspire 7955e still registered in your HP account.
