I have spoken with Apple Customer Service as well as the Virtual/IA Assistant regarding my issue with no resolution and would like to speak to a real person and ask a very simple question.  I have the most up to date OS on my MAC, it shows my printer available in my Printers and Scanners to be connected, and yet I keep getting an error message.  It says "Unable to communicate with the printer at this time."

Each technician has been unable to resolve.  Funny thing, is that this printer was working with my outdated MAC. Help!  I don't want buy a new printer/scanner if not necessary.

Hi @SSOF 

First things first,  what is your printer model name, 

  • Deskjet, Laserjet, Photosmart, Envy ?

 

if you have a Deskjet printer model, then follow steps from the next video:
