B209a printer, trying to connect to new wifi

Recently moved--so I have a new wifi setup.  Trying to get old printer (B209a) to talk to the wifi.  It's wifi enabled--I had it working at my old place.  I uninstalled/reinstalled software and drivers to my Win8.1 PC, and going through setup it loops through asking me if i want to print via wifi or wired (wifi), if the printer is already on wifi (no), if laptop is connected via USB (yes), etc.  It just loops through the same things, and I'm unsure why.

The WPS button on my router doesn't seem to help, either--I'm wondering if printer is just too old to be valid, but I was really hoping that I could make it work.

Any info is greatly appreciated.

Welcome to HP support community.

Perform root level uninstallation to remove all the printer related software's.

• In Windows, search for and open Programs and Features.
• Select your HP printer.
• Select Uninstall.
• In Windows, search for and open Devices and Printers.
• In the Devices and Printers window look for your HP Printer. If you see it listed, right-click on it and choose "Delete" or "Remove Device.”
• Open up the run command with the "Windows Key + R" key combo.
• Type printui.exe /s and click OK.
• Click on Drivers tab.
• Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it click on it and click Remove at the bottom.
• Select OK.
• Remove all instances of the same.
• Select Apply and OK on the Print Server Properties windows.
• Close Devices and Printers. 
• Restart the PC again.
