Bad firmware upgrade has rendered five of our systems unusable. After a brief HP splash screen (following a reboot/power on) all that is seen on the LCD display is a "no entry" sign with one word - "error". No other menu/GUI is visible/accessible, just "ERROR". Hard reboot did not work. Trying to access the node via ethernet/network gets us to a "device not attached" page. Is there a magic key combination that can be used during a startup that can get us into an equivalent of safe mode/safe boot?
Printers were upgraded using the latest version of HP Web Jetadmin, which has crashed in the process.
Ideas?
Many thanks!

Go into preboot menu, format the drive and then install firmware from a USB stick.

Thank you for your reply/suggestion.
I am not sure how to format a drive on a printer, nor was I aware there was one. Could you please advise how to get into the prereboot menu on an M553? What key combination should we use?
