Black printing only

Officejet Pro 9019e all-in-one: is there any way to print in black only without colour cartridges?

I only need black and white

This printer series requires all cartridges to be installed and have ink.

After you replace any depleted cartridges, you can certainly reduce the amount of color ink used by selecting to print in Draft, Grayscale, or Black and White. 

Depending on the app or software you are using, at least one of these options will be available in your print settings.

The option you seek is in Print Options (raise the gray bar)
