Hi @bbhank2,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

To turn off the blinking lights on your HP Envy 6452 without completely powering down the printer, you can try the following steps:

Sleep Mode: The printer may have a sleep mode that reduces the lights when it’s not in use. This usually activates automatically after a period of inactivity. Make sure your printer is in this mode by leaving it idle for a few minutes.

Check Settings via HP App:

  • Open the HP app on your computer or mobile device.
  • Select your printer, then go to Printer Settings.
  • Look for options related to LED lights or notifications, and see if you can adjust or disable them.

Control Panel Settings:

  • On the printer's control panel, look for a Settings or Menu button.
  • Navigate through the options to see if there’s a setting to turn off the lights or reduce their brightness.

Firmware Update: Sometimes, a firmware update can change how the printer behaves. Make sure your printer's firmware is up to date through the HP app.

Consult the Manual: If none of the above options work, refer to your printer’s manual for specific instructions on managing the lights.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.

None of this works or there are no menu items that do this.

Please be very specific with possible "solutions".

Sleep mode does not reduce the obnoxious lights.

There are none

Control Panel Settings:

  • On the printer's control panel, look for a Settings or Menu button.  No such menus?
  • Navigate through the options to see if there’s a setting to turn off the lights or reduce their brightness.  There is no such options

Firmware Update: Sometimes, a firmware update can change how the printer behaves. Make sure your printer's firmware is up to date through the HP app.  Latest firmware already installed.

Consult the Manual: If none of the above options work, refer to your printer’s manual for specific instructions on managing the lights.  No mention in manual.

I hope this helps.  It does not.  Fails to address issue as asked.

The "Private" message directs me to put in another support ticket for this.  Already done without actual solution.
