HP DeskJet 2810e All-in-One Printer

I seem to have looked everywhere but cannot find how to change the default margins for printing borderless. "AI search help" says the option exists on 2800 for A4. but whether I go from the printer window, from HP Smart, or from the computer settings I cannot find it anywhere.

Does anybody know whether the borderless printing option is even available on this machine?

Thanks for your help

Welcome to the HP English Community --

DeskJet printers, including this model, do not support Borderless printing.

Dragon Opinion

I think there might be room for improvement when it comes to AI learning from the wealth of information -- and garbage -- it finds on the Internet.  ??

Printing - Important -

The printer requires a larger margin along the bottom edge (1/2 inch).

Borderless PrintingNo
Print Margin Bottom (A4)12.7 mm
Print Margin Left (A4)3 mm
Print Margin Right (A4)3 mm
Print Margin Top (A4)3 mm

There is no software, firmware, or alignment that changes the larger margin requirement.

The solution to "chopped off" is to keep all data inside of 1/2 inch / 12.7mm on the bottom edge.

This limitation includes all text, images, page numbers, footer information, cells, tables, lines, other notations, and all file types, too.

Create your original document with 12.7mm ( 1/2 inch ) margins.

Thank you for your quick and clear answer!

I will have to get another printer. This limitation destroys most pf my print jobs.

You are welcome.

DeskJet printers are indeed economy printers -- good for casual printing on a budget.

Consider the Envy line -- and, if your printing needs demand it, perhaps move up to the upper tier OfficeJet Pro series.

Something I've learned -- no AI needed -- if the tech notes do not say a feature is included, then that feature might be missing.

To further complicate things, the documentation is sometimes not all inclusive.  That means, that all the information might not be included in one document.  Seems like it should be the case -- my experience has proven otherwise.

If you have questions about a particular HP model, contact the HP Store or come back and ask.

Good Luck.
