I have created a document in A5 size for printing as a brochure on A4 paper. When I select Brochure mode in either the document editor or when printing from a PDF, the document is changed to A6 size.

This is way too much trouble. Instead I deleted all the bloatware that comes with the drivers and just reinstalled the driver using "Add Printer" in Windows Settings. This seems to have done the trick.

I understand you're experiencing an issue with changing the paper size mode on your printer.

I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused, I'm here to help you today.

To understand the issue and help you, please share the details listed below:

- Exact model number/product number(SKU number) of your HP Product (Click herefor information on how to find the model number/product number).

- May I know which application are you using to print?

- When was the last time your printer was working fine while printing brochure?

- Were there any changes made to your printer recently?

- May I know which devices are you using to print eg: Windows PC, Mac, or Smartphone (Android or iPhone)?

Product 22A56B HP Officejet Pro 9014e

I'm using various applications, common factor is the HP Printer Driver

I produce a newsletter every six months, it was working fine in June

I saw a firmware upgrade being applied automatically a week or two ago, there were messages on the printer's screen and it rebooted itself.

I am printing from a Windows 10 x64 PC connected by USB cable.

Please see attached screenshot showing the about screen and the settings page. Also, I have found that the Booklet layout setting for Left/Right binding is the wrong way round to what I would expect.

Also, today the double-sided printing feature isn't working, it has gone to manual double sided, asking me to reinsert the paper after one side has been printed.

Hi @wiggers42,

Thank you for sharing the above information.

Please follow the steps below to fix the issue.

A) Perform a power drain.

1) Take out the cartridges

2) Unplug the power cord from the printer & wall.

3) Press and hold the power button down for 15 seconds and release the power button, wait for about 30 seconds.

4) Plug the power cord back into the printer and wall, ensure the printer is plugged into the wall & not into a surge protector.

5) Insert the cartridges back into the printer.

Remove the cartridges > Unplug the power cord > Wait for 30 seconds > Plug the power cord back in > Insert the cartridges

B) Kindly refer to the steps on this link to update the printer firmware and let me know if that resolves the issue.

C) If the issue still persists, uninstall the printer software by following the steps from this link and restart the devices.

D) Install the printer software by clicking on the link again and let me know if that resolves the issue.

Please mark this post as “Accepted Solution” if the issue is resolved and if you feel this reply was helpful click “Yes”.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day
