Officejetpro 9012e

I have a HP officejet pro 9012e and it's from family who have purchased it and never used. It's out of warranty so I came to setup to use myself and realised the black setup ink has leaked and burst all over the box so I can't use it. I signed up to instant ink and arranged for new ink which I have just tried to use but the printer still requires setup ink. How do I resolve this?

Hi @Natalie861,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

To Bypass Using Setup Cartridges for HP OfficeJet Pro 9012e All-In-One Printer the only option left is to perform an OOBE reset and re-initialize the printer.

The reset instructions are specific to your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may brick the device.

I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instructions to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.
