Help!

Ive had my printer for close to a year now. I simply moved it to a new location and now it wont turn on and has a "use setup cartridges that came with printer" error message on screen. I have replaced my ink twice now so i obviously don't have the setup cartridges.  I work full time at home and unfortunately really need this printer to work. Can someone please please send me the bypass steps. I wish this information can be found easily on the website because tons of people seem to experience the same thing. Please help!!

Welcome to the HP support community.

Remove and reinsert the ink cartridges

Remove each ink cartridge, and then reinsert them in their color-coded slots.

  1. Turn on the printer.

  2. Open the door to access the ink cartridges.

  3. Wait until the carriage is idle and silent before you continue.

  4. Push the tab on an ink cartridge, and then pull the ink cartridge from its slot.

      caution:

Do not leave the ink cartridges outside the printer longer than 30 minutes. Doing so can result in damage to both the printer and the ink cartridges.

  5. Reinsert the ink cartridge into its color-coded slot, and then press down on it until it snaps into place.

  6. Repeat these steps to remove and reinsert the remaining ink cartridges.

  7. Close the ink cartridge access door.

Reset the printer

  1. With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the printer.

  2. Unplug the power cord from the power source.

  3. Wait 60 seconds.

  4. Reconnect the power cord to a wall outlet and to the printer.
