Bypass Setup Cartridges for a HP DeskJet 4140

I'm helping my mother setup her printer, she says she has used it before but it's been awhile. So I'm re-installing it to her new laptop with a new HP Smart account to get her all set, however the setup is requiring the "Setup Cartridges" which I do not have. I've seen other posts where the solution was some type of reset, however those solutions were given in a private message by HP Support personnel. I have regular ink for this printer but, like I said I can't get past the setup cartridges step.
