Bypass setup cartridges for Envy 6055e

My son received an Envy 6055e printer 2 years ago when he started college. He never set up the printer. This year when he went to set it up, it asks for the start up cartridges. After 2 years, we have no idea where they might be. I understand you can not purchase start-up cartridges and the printer will not complete setup without them. Please tell me there is a bypass and that I don’t have to buy another printer when we have a new one that has never been used!
