HP Photosmart Premium e-All-in-One Printer series - C310a
Other

I understand my HP All In One device is 'older' but it does have Air Print Capability.

Printer drivers have been unavailable for some time on the HP website but I have used  the wireless printing option on my Macbook Pro

For scanning, without drivers, this was possible through Image Capture on the Mac.

Not any more 😞

I have followed advice from this forum to no avail.

My All in One Device is not on Apple's list which I have seen mentioned in some posts

After uninstalling everything HP on my Macbook and trying to reconnect I am left with the following issues:

Add Printer/Scanner, device is visible but Unable to Verify Printer On the Network ...

Unable to connect to ‘Photosmart Prem C310 series [******]._ipp._tcp.local.’ due to an error.

Would you still like to create the printer?

If I say yes it still wont connect.

If I try to use image Capture (and this was before I made any changes) the printer/scanner is visible, after waiting to connect 'The Operation could not be completed (com.apple.imagecapture error 704.) (704)

Apple Support's advice was to contact HP - please can somebody  help me?

Can HP and Apple work more closely together going forward?

Please can current compatibility issues be addressed?

Please can HP send me Printer Drivers?

Please can HP update dropdown boxes for feedback - no option for Big Sur

My printer scanner may be older, used infrequently but it's in great condition and I do rely on it periodically.  I hope I am wrong but at present it feels like between Apple and HP my device has effectively been retired for use with a MacBook

All advice welcome, thank you for your time.

I have exactly the same problem with my HP1510. After contacting HP support, yes I got through eventually, they admitted that they were no longer supporting the old HP printers with Big Sur. I asked them to email me that so that I had it in writing. They said they would. I received no email so I got on to them again. This time they referred me to the specifications for my printer i.e. "Supported Mac OS X operating systems: Mac OS X v10.6 Snow Leopard, OS X v10.7 Lion, OS X v10.8 Mountain Lion, OS X v10.9 Mavericks, OS X v10.10 Yosemite" which is what I already knew. HP are a useless company to deal with. I bought a CANON printer to replace the now defunct HP1510. I suggest every one affected does the same.
