Product: Jetdirect J8010E

This is for my work. its a J8010E in a CP3525cp. I realize this is an older printer, but we have 8 of these printers. They all have a different jet direct model of  J7934G in them. I am currently working on making sure all our printer and copiers firmware is up-to-date along with any modules like this that go alongside them,

 

So my question is v44.00 the latest version for this J8010E Jetdirect module? I am not finding much on this module online, and the post I did find some relative info was back from 2017 and the links no longer work that are attached to said post.

 

If this is the latest then should I consider getting them to swap it with the same model as all my others with the J7934G or is there a better one that I should swap them all with?

 

Unfortunately I cannot get this replaced until they either cant be fixed or they do not install properly on computers like the old  HP 1018 laserjets we have.

Any help would be super appreciated!!

 Jetdirect 610 and 620 are ancient, they were replaced with Jetdirect 625 630, 635, and 640 the higher the number it's newer and more supported.

For the mean time, I am looking to upgrade the cards to J8024A 695NW's. I dont need the wifi capability but the only one that still being produced and not discontinued from what I could tell?

I would suggest that you can get many of the other cards like the 630 series on sites like Ebay for a reasonable price and then not have to purchase wireless capabilities you will never use.
