Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have a client with a CP5525 Laserjet. It has suffered a disk failure and a new HP disk has been installed.

I can format the disk from the printers main screen, but I understand that a firmware update is required to install the software to the disk to enable it.

The general instructions are to load the firmware onto a USB stick. However, this printer only has an Ethernet Port and a USB-B port. I have tried to talk to the printer over IP using IE, but it does not repond.

Can anyone throw light onto how this sort of problem can be overcome?

When you had to remove and instal a new HDD you had to remove main electronics  (formatter). On the main electronics, there is a USB port. Insert USB drive with the firmware on that internal USB port instal the main electronics back in the printer and try to update the firmware.
