Operating System: Android 8.0 Oreo and older

I have an old HP photos mart fax C309a printer, bought as new. For a long time it worked well via USB cable or wireless...never could get the bluetooth to work. For no reason to me it stopped working via wireless but the USB cable was OK.  My laptop no longer works via the USB ports so I am trying my tablet which runs on android 5.1.1

the tablet talks to my Epson wireless  OK. My question is are there drivers I can get to download? The HP app is for 7.0 and above....I need 5.1

I tried a driver search on the website and it recognised my tablet and printer name but nothing downloads.

 

Any help will be most welcome

Hi,

The HP Smart app is supported on Android 7.0 or later only, not on any older version.

 

You may print using the HP Print Service Plugin app which is supported on Android 5.0 or later, scanning however is not supported for pearlier OS Android versions:
