I keep having problems with my M276 losing scan capability. I have uninstalled and reinstalled several times. The print function works, but the printer isn't recognised by the HP Smart app. I have become used to the simplicity of the old HP Scan program, with the option to add pages before sending it to the folder, so would love to reunite both printer and scanner with something that works.

Thanks for taking the time to reply.
I found a site that offered the old HP print and scan doctor program. I was having no success in getting my scanner to work with anything that HP offered. I had reinstalled the driver downloaded from HP twice with no luck. HP Smart kept telling me the printer was offline, despite having printed several documents from other programs. Windows Fax and Scan was fine, so the system knew the printer/scanner was there. The HP Scan and capture program didn't find the printer at all - probably because (shame on me) the printer isn't wi-fi enabled, so I was increasingly frustrated with HP's 'assistance'.
Having downloaded the HP Print and Scan Doctor, I ran it and straight away it worked without a hitch.
I don't know what HP's policy is with regard to 'old' products but I certainly felt let down in this event.
My old Laserjet 3052 has kept running for years giving great service (although the scan on that doesn't work also), with a seemingly never-ending cartridge (changed once since I bought it well over twelve years ago), but the M276 has been a pain on too many occasions.
