Product: HP Officejet 4630 e-All-in-One Printer series
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

No amount of paid professional technical support, driver, software, etc downloads are able to install the software for my Officejet 4630. The number of complaints about this online indicate HP does not care and will not fix the problem.  That means I'm stuck because I cannot afford to buy another brand for a while.

 

I am able to print documents directly from Office software. But because the HP rinter software will not install, I cannot scan documents to computer.  Is there a way around this?  Perhaps a Win10 workaround?

 

Any help would be appreciated.

 

And, shame on you HP.

I was able to get my printer to print and scan using the HP Smart app.

 

Unfortunately, the print quality is dreadful, even after cleaning print heads and doing an alignment. Plus, I am unable to access many of the features that the software made possible.

 

I am on the HP Instant Ink plan so you are getting my money and should be able to provide working software for a 2.5 year old printer. But I'm done with HP printers because of the software problems.
