When I print photos from Adobe Photoshop or Lightroom I get horizontal striping on the print making them unusable. I believe this is due to the fact that it's using the Windows Print Driver. If I print from the HP Smart App I get beautiful prints without the stripes. Is there a way I can sync up Adobe so that it defaults to printing through the HP drivers, or must I always go to the HP Smart app to make my final prints. Using the Adobe software, I can configure the arrangements of photos on the page which is often very advantageous. I'm using Windows 11 on a desktop PC. My printer is the HP Envy 5665. (Though I'm sure this solution would be the same for most if not all Inkjet printers.)
Thank you.

Hi @BullRhino,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
To ensure that Adobe Photoshop or Lightroom utilizes the HP drivers for printing on your HP Envy 5665 printer in Windows 11, you can follow these steps:
- Open Adobe Photoshop or Lightroom: Launch the Adobe application from which you want to print your photos.
- Access Print Settings: Go to the File menu and select "Print" or press Ctrl + P to open the print dialog box.
- Select Printer: In the print dialog box, locate the printer selection dropdown menu. Ensure that you have selected your HP Envy 5665 printer from the list of available printers.
- Printer Properties: After selecting the printer, there might be an option to access printer properties or preferences. Look for an option that allows you to change the printing preferences or properties.
- Choose HP Print Driver: Within the printer properties or preferences, look for an option to choose the printer driver. It might be listed as "Printer," "Driver," or "Properties."
- Select HP Printer Driver: In the driver selection menu, choose the HP printer driver associated with your HP Envy 5665 printer. This driver should be provided by HP and should be the same one used by the HP Smart App.
- Adjust Print Settings: Once you have selected the HP printer driver, you can adjust the print settings such as paper type, quality, and color management according to your preferences.
- Print: After configuring the print settings, proceed with printing your photos using the HP printer driver selected. Ensure that you have properly loaded the paper and that the printer is ready.

Thank you for attempting to help, When I pull up the "Printer" dialogue box and select HP ENVY5660 series it tells me "Type: Microsoft IPP Class Driver and when I dig down to the "advanced" options under properties after selecting HP ENVY 5660 series [E0509C] It says "Microsoft IPP Class Driver Advanced Document Settings" and does not give me any other options on drivers. I tried it in both Lightroom and Photoshop with essentially the same results.
It may be helpful to know that I formatted my hard drive a while back and reinstalled a clean Windows 10 and then upgraded to Windows 11. I have attempted to install the HP Drivers for my printer/copier/scanner but the only thing I've been able to do is install HP Smart, though I did use HP support assistant in my attempts to install the HP Drivers.
Thanks again for trying, but if you have any other suggestions I'd be happy to try those also.
