Hi @Kell6733

If you're having trouble installing the printer scanner software for your HP M528dn on a Windows 11 machine, try the following steps to resolve the issue:

  1. Compatibility Check: Ensure that the software package you are trying to install is compatible with Windows 11. Visit the HP support website to download the latest drivers and software designed for Windows 11.

  2. Run as Administrator: When installing the software, right-click the installation executable and select "Run as administrator." This might resolve permission issues that prevent the installation.

  3. Use HP Easy Start: HP Easy Start is an automated installation app that helps set up your printer and install the necessary software. You can download HP Easy Start from the HP support website.

  4. Clear Previous Installations: If there were previous attempts to install the software, they might have partially installed components that interfere with new installations. Use the HP Uninstaller tool provided with the software package or through the Control Panel to remove previous installations.

  5. Disable Security Software: Temporarily disable any antivirus or firewall software during the installation, as they might block certain components of the software installation.

  6. Check Windows Update: Make sure your system is updated with the latest Windows 11 updates, as they might include important fixes and improvements for device installations.

  7. Use Windows Built-in Drivers: Sometimes, using the Windows built-in drivers can resolve the issue. Go to Devices and Printers in the Control Panel, add a printer, and allow Windows to search for drivers.

  8. Reboot and Retry: After trying the above steps, reboot your computer and attempt the installation again.
