Hello, we recently purchased a HP Deskjet 2734e printer and have been trying for several days unsuccessfully to connect it to our Windows 7 laptop and have not been able to install the HP Easy start even by trying the download link provided in the HP Community "https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software13/printers/DJ2700/HPEasyStart-13.6.5-DJ2700_51_4_4865_1_Webp..." Is there a fix for this issue?

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to assist you.
I see that you are facing an issue with connecting your new Printer.
Please follow the steps below to connect your printer to the network.
1) Enable Wi-Fi setup mode: When you turn on your printer for the first time, it is temporarily placed in Wi-Fi setup mode so that it can be discovered during setup. Use the printer control panel to restore Wi-Fi setup mode, and then set up the printer again. Go to Restore Wi-Fi setup mode on your HP printer for more information.
2) Refer to this link to use the HP smart app on your phone/tablet/PC to add a printer.
Or Install the printer with Windows built-in driver.
You can refer to this document to install the printer.
Note: Enable Bluetooth for an HP Smart app setup: Enable Bluetooth on your computer or mobile device so that HP Smart can detect the printer during the setup.

Thank you Irwin - I was about ready to give up when I followed the link that you provided. I do believe that this was the same set up that I went through originally - but that link ended in the printer successfully connecting to the computer and allowing me to print and scan. Thank you!
