Product: HP OfficeJet Pro 8740 All-in-One Printer

I can't print using my HP Officejet Pro 8740 from my Mac (OS Sonoma) or my windows 10 PC. I have turned off everything and turned back on. I have unplugged everything and replugged them in. I also deleted my printer because I thought I was supposed to but I can't put it back on, my Mac can't find the printer.  My printer is not connected to internet and I have put password in several times.  This started last week, after installing Sonoma update.  Now it won't connect at all.  Is my printer @ 6.5 years old too old now?  It has been working great up to today
