HP DeskJet 3755 All-in-One Printer

So I’ve tried everything.

First, I couldn’t get my printer to connect to my computer because my computer is too old and can’t run the necessary operating system.

Then, I tried connecting the printer to the computer with a wire, and that still didn’t seem to work. It seems like I got it set up, and that I could make my computer to recognize it, but every time I would hit print, nothing would happen.

Then I tried to set up with my iPhone, which is a very recent model, and on the most updated iOS system, but the set up would never work for some reason. It kept telling me to search for a Wi-Fi network that started with “HP-setup,” but the only one that showed up was a private network that started with “Direct-14-HP deskjet…” that requires a password that I don’t have.

I am completely out of ideas and the virtual assistant isn’t helpful, and there is no option to call and speak to a live person that I’ve been able to find yet, so this is my last resort to get this printer working after I paid so much money for it.

Is there anyone who can help me? All I need it for is basic printing, mostly black and white. If there’s anyone who can help me make this thing work, I would greatly appreciate it. It would be a real shame to a spent all that money on this printer just for something that doesn’t work, especially when I can’t talk to a live person about this.

Hi @rcampea2013,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I'm sorry to hear that you're having trouble with your HP DeskJet 3755 All-In-One Printer. Let's try to troubleshoot the issue step by step.

Check Power and Connections:

  • Ensure that the printer is properly plugged into a power source and turned on.
  • Verify that the USB cable (if you are using a wired connection) is securely connected to both the printer and your computer.

Printer Display:

  • Check if there are any error messages or lights flashing on the printer's display. If you see any error messages, take note of them as they can help diagnose the issue.

Printer Drivers and Software:

  • Make sure you have the correct and up-to-date printer drivers installed on your computer. You can download the latest drivers from the HP website.
  • Uninstall any old or conflicting printer software before installing the new drivers.

Print Queue:

  • Sometimes, print jobs can get stuck in the print queue. To clear the print queue, follow these steps:
    • On Windows: Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers, right-click on your printer, and select "See what's printing." Cancel any pending print jobs.
    • On macOS: Open "System Preferences," select "Printers & Scanners," select your printer, and click the "Open Print Queue" button. Cancel any pending print jobs.

Paper and Ink/Toner:

  • Ensure that there is paper in the paper tray and that it's loaded correctly.
  • Check the ink or toner levels. Replace any empty or low cartridges.

Wireless Connection (If Applicable):

  • If you're using a wireless connection, make sure your printer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your computer. You may need to reconnect the printer to the network.

Restart Devices:

  • Sometimes, a simple restart of both your computer and the printer can resolve communication issues.

HP Print and Scan Doctor (Windows):

  • HP provides a free tool called "HP Print and Scan Doctor" that can diagnose and resolve common printer problems. You can download and run it from the HP website.

Manual Reset (Last Resort):

  • As a last resort, you can perform a factory reset on your printer to restore it to its default settings. Be aware that this will erase any custom settings. Refer to your printer's manual for instructions on how to perform a factory reset.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
