I had upgraded to the new HP App and was having nothing but problems.  I couldn't print, scan, or anything else.  The app did communicate with the printer, and did show as on-line, etc., but that's where it ended.  Using the older HP Smart app everything was perfect!  It printed, scanned, it worked flawlessly.  I am enrolled in the Insta-Ink program so communication is critical, and that is all the new app did.  Whenever I tried to print, I would get nothing but error messages " Can't connect to printer. etc."  And yes, I had checked all of the drivers, porting, the whole shebang.  I had tried using WIFI, ethernet direct, and direct connection to a computer using USB.  I did complete diagnostic scans, and everything came back normal, but I couldn't even print a test page!  Nothing worked.

 

Well, I have reinstalled the older HP Smart app and everything is fine again.  No, no, no to the new app!!!  HP can keep it!
