HP Smart Tank 7602
Microsoft Windows 11

I have had a 'support account' with HP for well over a decade now and have never had a problem registering a new printer. Some I've had extended warranties on and some not. It made no difference, since I could register them. I just got a new HP Smart Tank 7602 printer and (after just about the most counter-intuitive Wi-Fi setup process I've ever seen, I have been trying to register it to my longstanding account and all I get is the following message:

This product must be associated with your HP All-In Plan account in order to be added to your profile.

I know that has something to do with a never-ending 'subscription' to some kind of ink replenishment scheme, which I have no desire to be a part of. I simply want to register the printer to my existing account for warranty purposes. Can anybody tell me why I continue to get this senseless error message but better still, how to register the thing? I've tried every way for Sunday to do it but it refuses to let me, apparently until I agree to this ripoff 'replenishment plan', which I have no intention of doing. Thanks and standing by...

By the way, I do in fact own the HP Smart Tank 7602 printer in question, but that's the only way they would let me record the actual name of it 'up front'. Another little 'oversight' of the Forum.
