Hi @Khashayar2000

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

Thank you for explaining the situation, and I’m truly sorry you’re facing this limitation—it’s understandably frustrating when you’ve purchased the printer legitimately but can’t access the full features due to account lock-in.

Why You’re Seeing the HP+ Activation Error

HP+ printers are tied to the original HP account used during activation. This includes cloud-linked features like Print Anywhere, Instant Ink, and Smart Advance. If the printer was previously registered, it cannot be reactivated under a new account unless the original owner removes the printer from their HP account.

Since you don’t have access to the previous owner, this creates a lockout for HP+ features—but basic functions like printing, scanning, and copying will still work.

I'm sending you a private message to guide you on the next steps.

To access it, click the private message icon in the upper-right corner of your HP Support Community profile, next to your name.

If this resolves your issue, kindly mark this post as "Accepted Solution" and click "Yes" if it was helpful.

Take care and have a great day!
