I'm trying to activate my Deskjet 2800e, but can't get past the screen that says "By activating HP+ you agree to the following requirements..."

"For your printer to operate after selecting Activate HP+, you understand and agree to the above requirements of use for the life of your printer." There is no "activate HP+ button". There is nothing to choose. This is happening on my laptop and my Andoid phone,

Please help!

Hi @dianejill

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

Thank you for explaining the issue clearly and for trying both your laptop and Android phone—that’s a great step. The screen you’re stuck on is the HP+ activation page, and the missing button usually points to a display or app rendering issue. Let’s work through this together:

Troubleshooting Steps

1. Check Screen Orientation and Zoom

  • On your Android phone, switch to landscape mode.
  • Reduce zoom or font size in your browser or app settings.
  • On your laptop, resize the window or maximize it to see if the button appears.

2. Restart the HP App

  • Close the HP App completely on both devices.
  • Reopen it and sign in again.
  • Resume the setup process.

3. Update the HP App

  • Go to Google Play Store or Microsoft Store and check for updates.
  • Install the latest version to ensure compatibility.

4. Try a Different Device or Browser

  • If the issue persists, try completing the setup on a PC or tablet using the HP App.
  • Alternatively, use a different browser if you’re accessing the setup online.

5. Skip HP+ Activation (Optional)

  • If you prefer not to activate HP+, you can set up the printer without it.
  • During setup, look for an option like Continue without HP+ or Skip in the HP App.

Take care, and have an amazing day!
