I bought a new acer laptop and can’t get my printer officejet g55 to connect with usb. In laptop settings I add new printer both ways by scanning and manually and it doesn’t come up. What else can I do ?

In its day, this was a nice printer.  The product was marked as obsolete (no more updates, etc) in 2006.

When opening the Software and Drivers Website page

There are no longer drivers provided for the printer.

Instead, the user is directed to the following instructions to install the Windows print drivers:

HP Printers - Installing and Using the Windows Built-in Print Driver

Windows print drivers, when available and installed, provide for basic print function.
